Construction is working on a new hydrotechnical project.
Tunnel intake and fishways are planned to be made for “Mtkvari
HPP”.
The
construction company is glad that this project promotes energy
independence of the country.
The
process is carried out in full compliance with the international
safety standards. Environmental impacts have been reduced to
minimum in each cycle of the planned activities.
The
works are carried out in Samtskhe-Javakheti, Akhaltsikhe and
Aspindza municipalities, on the River Mtkvari. The installed
capacity of the HPP will be 53 MW with an average annual output of
251.5 million kWh.
The project is being implemented on the initiative of the Georgian Co-Investment Fund, and "Element Construction" is performing works by the order of "Energony" JSC.
